VIRTUO and CBRE Investment Management inaugurate beehives at the Cadences development site in Bezons (95)

A multi-storey 36,000 sq m development currently under construction, launched on a forward-funding basis, with completion scheduled for Q1 2027.

On Thursday 11 June 2026, Grégory Loësel, Director of Development and Partner at Virtuo Industrial Property, and Grégory Bercovici, Asset Manager at CBRE Investment Management, inaugurated the installation of beehives at the Cadences site in Bezons (95), a mixed-use development currently under construction and delivered by the two partners, in the presence of Mohsen Rezaei, Deputy Mayor of Bezons.

This inauguration marks both a symbolic and tangible milestone in the transformation of this former brownfield site. The demolition and reconstruction works, which began several weeks ago, will give rise to a multi-storey, multi-use development dedicated to businesses, designed to accommodate SMEs, small and medium-sized manufacturers, parcel and express operators, logistics providers and last-mile specialists on a single site.

The installation of these beehives is fully aligned with this redevelopment strategy. It reflects the partners’ commitment to integrating biodiversity from the earliest stages of development, supporting the return of nature to a site undergoing significant transformation. Beyond their educational value, the hives contribute to the development of a local ecosystem and anticipate the future landscaping works.

This biodiversity initiative is being carried out in partnership with the French National Union of Apiculture (UNAF), a long-standing partner supporting the deployment of beehives across sites developed by Virtuo.

Located in the heart of the city, between La Défense and the Port of Gennevilliers, Cadences will ultimately deliver more than 36,000 sq m across three levels, combining urban logistics, parcel handling activities and space for craft and industrial businesses. Designed to meet new requirements for proximity and land-use efficiency, the scheme will intensify land use while limiting urban sprawl.

Its strategic location, in close proximity to the A15 and A86 motorways as well as the T2 tram line, makes it particularly well suited to evolving supply chain requirements, notably last-mile logistics. It will also help strengthen the role of productive activities within the city by bringing workplaces closer to residential catchment areas.

Developed in close collaboration with the City of Bezons and the State services, the project contributes to the regeneration of a historically established business area within the municipality. It will support the creation of several hundred jobs and enhance the economic attractiveness of the area.

From an environmental perspective, Cadences is embedded in an ambitious design approach from the outset: redevelopment of previously developed land, use of reclaimed materials and low-carbon solutions, on-site photovoltaic energy production, optimised heat management and the integration of landscaped areas that support biodiversity. The scheme is targeting leading environmental certifications, including BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ and BiodiverCity. The building is scheduled for delivery in Q1 2027.

This development reinforces Virtuo Industrial Property’s expertise in delivering multi-storey logistics platforms in the Greater Paris region, notably in Gennevilliers, and draws on CBRE Investment Management’s expertise in structuring and managing sustainable logistics assets across Europe.

" The inauguration of these beehives at the Cadences site is far more than a symbolic gesture. It reflects our commitment to integrating biodiversity from the earliest stages of this brownfield redevelopment. At Virtuo Industrial Property, we are convinced that the industrial real estate of the future must combine economic performance, efficient land use and environmental quality. Cadences fully embodies this ambition. "
